Bangkok, 27 January, 2022 – Central Retail Corporation, or CRC, has welcomed the Year of the Golden Tiger by unveiling its new ‘Retailtainment’ strategy, elevating its branding efforts through entertainment-based formats and music marketing. The campaign features the collaboration between Gulf Kanawut Traipipattanapong and Ajarn Chang Tosaporn Sritula, the expert in Thai horoscope and Feng Shui. Under the “New Year New Start” concept, the campaign features karaoke and dancing to a song of happiness spells, which acts as a shareable new year’s e-card. The campaign has received positive feedback and was a resounding success with the video surpassing 16 million views within 3 days and trending as the #1 hot topic on Twitter in three countries, including Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia within the first hour of the launch. Central Retail builds on this success and introduces the “New Year New Luck” campaign to welcome the Chinese New Year, which aims to wish everyone a good start to their year through a spell of happiness, good fortune and fulfillment. The campaign uses a ‘Retailtainment’ strategy that resonates with all consumer groups, especially the young generation such as Gen Y and Gen Z.
