Tops and FamilyMart announce measures to help Thais reduce their expenses by joining forces with 58 big brands to cut and lock prices all year in Locked Price campaign

BANGKOK, APRIL 5, 2022 – Tops and FamilyMart under Central Retail stand by Thai people by joining forces with 58 leading brands in a new phenomenal campaign that will help Thais reduce their cost of living - Tops Locked Price. 190 items of necessities are offered at cut and locked prices, so everyone can count on the same great value on the same products throughout a period of one year starting from April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 at every Tops market, Tops SUPERSTORE, Tops daily, Tops online and FamilyMart. Thai people can enjoy great value and great prices, and get through this crisis together.

Mrs. Sujita Phengoun, Chief Operating Officer - Large Format, Central Food Retail under Central Retail, said, “Over the past three years, the pandemic has affected Thailand’s macro economy as well as people’s lives and financial conditions. The inflation caused by the rising energy prices (both oil and electricity) will affect the cost of consumer products in some categories. The Ministry of Commerce expects that the inflation situation this year will continue to be risky and broad, so Thai people will be more careful with their spending (source: Trade Policy and Strategy Office, TPSO). To reaffirm our vision as Thailand’s leading retailer, as well as our business philosophy to stand by Thai people in every situation, Tops and FamilyMart under Central Retail have come up with various measures to help reduce the cost of living. We were the first retailer in Thailand to launch the Locked Price campaign in February 2020, offering special prices in many different categories. During the pandemic, while people were more careful with their spending, they still looked for great value in items of necessity, so the Locked Price campaign was well-received as it’s a price strategy that brings quality necessities to our consumers at great prices.”

To continue its measures to help consumers reduce their cost of living and to stimulate spending, the new season of the Locked Price campaign comes with great value throughout the year. In the Tops Locked Price campaign, 58 leading consumer brands with 190 items will join to offer the best deals. The campaign, a joint effort between Tops and FamilyMart as retailers, and brands as producers, is the first of its kind in Thailand’s supermarket industry. Prices are reduced and locked for a period of one year, so whenever customers come to shop, they can enjoy the same great prices. This will help reassure consumers during the period of inflation and higher cost of living. The campaign will also stimulate spending and drive our country’s economy.”
